Silverdale Co-operative Society
This is a new site we are developing to show the history this Potteries Co-operative Society. The society served our village of Halmer End until it merged with United Co-op in 1980.

We are 160 years!
We are soon to celebrate 160 years as a school. The school is planning a range of activities as part of Founders Day on 29th January. More news to follow!

Its A Record!
2009 produced record results for the school. 82% gained 5 grades A* - C last year. The school also gained excellent results across other school subjects. Core subjects such as Maths, English and Science were all gaining at least 75% at C or above. ICT, a core subject for all pupils, had a 100% pass rate at C or above. Mr Boston the Head said: " This is excellent news for the school. Cooperative Schools are all about developing the whole child and helping them achieve well across all their subjects not just in a narrow range of specialist ones as in most specialist schools. This proves how right our philosophy is"
