The Co-operative Movement has always used advertising to attract customers and members to it's services. This collection of original materials provides an excellent resource for teachers in a range of subjects. The archive presents adverts from a range of societies over the last 100 years as well as different types of adverts.

100 years of Co-operative Adverts

The adverts cover a number of societies from the small local ones like the Butt Lane Society, in Staffordshire (Now part of United) to the large ones like the CWS and LCS. Our collection covers different forms of advertising including postcards, newspaper adverts and TV adverts.
