Helping students to run their own enterprises and mini businesses helps them develop their skills and knowledge using real life situations. At Sir Thomas Boughey our students have a number of mini enterprise groups. All our groups work as mini co-operatives. This allows them to develop deeper understanding of issues such as democracy and equality. As all our group follow the basic co-operative principle of one person one vote, rather than the majority shareholding way, they have to learn how to work with other people and how to get the most out of each person in the group to ensure success.

We work with both the Young Co-operatives Enterprise Organisation and Young Enterprise.
