Junior Football Leaders Festival 2015
STB organised a Football Festival for the Primary Schools on Friday 12th June. A record 158 pupils took part in the competition with 11 pitches being used at all times. 11 Junior Football Leaders from Year 10 refereed the games, along with Thomas Mason from Year 11. They have been coaching football in the primaries over the last 2 months and this festival is the final stage of their Junior Football Leaders qualification.
Competitive league:
There was a competitive 7 a side league with 4 teams entered – Ravensmead, St Chads, Richard Heathcote and Wood Lane. Thomas Mason and Morgan Fox were in charge of this competition, as they are qualified referees.

Friendly Leagues:
The friendly leagues consisted of teams playing 5 a side with 6 teams in each league, with 18 teams playing in total. The Year 10 pupils ran this competition successfully.

In addition there were 20 prizes for pupils who had worked very well during the festival and received a sporting prize. This included pupils who tried their best, showed good sportsmanship and had excellent team spirit. The Year 10 pupils nominated the prize winners.
Thanks go to the PE department for helping with the organisation of the day, as well as Year 9 leaders who collated the results – Olivia Nixon, Emma Hancock, Alex Parsons and Megan Perry.
