RAF Visit

Today the school was visited by the RAF with Year 8 & Year 9 watching an interactive demonstration on careers within the RAF focusing on ‘fun with flight’.

The roadshow was devised in response to the government’s acknowledgement that there is a shortfall of ‘home grown’ scientists and engineers. The children were very excited as they witnessed a drone flying in the school hall and a jet engine being powered up which could be heard all over the school. Many other active demonstrations were also on show along with learning how things fly.

This visit has already inspired some of our pupils to want to find out more about careers in the RAF or engineering.
