Salvation Army Toy Appeal 2016

Once again the school has supported this initiative. The toys and gifts the pupils and staff have donated will be distributed to families in the local area who, for many different reasons, are not able to give their children gifts this Christmas.

Each tutor group contributed and donated gifts for this appeal. The money was raised in a variety of different ways; pupils from Mrs Green’s tutor group held a sponsored silence and raised over £30, we had a pop up hair salon over 2 lunchtimes and raised £17.39 from plaiting hair, Mr William’s tutor group had a stall at the Christmas Fayre and Mr O Neill’s tutor group held a cake sale. All tutor groups contributed to the charity and once again showed the wonderful caring side of our community.

Captain Lang, from The Salvation Army, came into assembly on Monday to receive the donations. He thanked the school for their donations and the effort put in by everybody.
