Drama

A GCSE Course

Drama is an exciting, creative and challenging course which allows pupils to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of performance skills. Drama students will be expected to create, perform and evaluate their own performance skills within a group.

Time will also be spent developing an awareness of the social, historical and cultural context of dramatic productions.

How will the work be assessed?

Controlled Assessment: 60%

Candidates must submit two pieces of performance assessment during the course. The marks will be awarded for practical participation and final dramatic performance. The pieces can be selected from a number of practical options including: acting, improvisation or physical theatre.
