U16 Girls ‘A’ Team v The Kings

Sir Thomas Boughey’s netball ‘A’ team played their first match of the season against Kings on Wednesday 5th October.

The captain, Shannon Fahey, won the toss, which led them to having the first centre pass. Boughey made a great start to the game with a quick goal from Rebecca Day, followed by some great defence in the D by Bethan Moore and Megan Jones. In the centre third, Emma Hancock and Olivia Nixon did some great intercepting against Kings and by half time the score was 7-2 to Boughey. The second half was similar with great passing from the team and amazing shooting by Rachel Glover, but yet again Boughey was in the lead only allowing one goal in from Kings during the second half.

At the end of the game the score was reflected by the girls’ performance and the outcome was 22-3 to Boughey. Player of the match was awarded to Megan Jones. Well done girls.
